Workshop 'THE FUTURE OF CRMNICA’S VITICULTURE AND WINERY'

We invite you to attend a workshop on 'The future of Crmnica’s viticulture and winery ' which aims to develop a participatory approach to agroecological transition of Crmnica vineyards.

The workshop is conducted within the ECOVINEGOALS project, which deals with the suppression of conventional and intensive practices in viticulture, pointing out the negative effects they have on land and water resources, as well as air quality, biodiversity and all other ecosystem services. The project helps to develop strategies, action plans, tools and strengthen all capacities necessary for the agri-environmental transition of wine-growing areas. Funds for the implementation of the project are provided from the transnational Interreg V-B Adriatic-Ionian Cooperation Program - Adrion. The project is being implemented on the territory of 6 countries - Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro and Serbia. The lead partner is the Development Agency VEGAL from Italy. Responsible partners for Montenegro are Business Start-up Center Bar (BSC Bar) and the Municipality of Bar.

Participatory management of agro-ecological transition of vineyards is a process that includes all important stakeholders in the pilot area, which in the case of Montenegro is the wine-growing area of Crmnica, and which will work together to develop an Action Plan for agro-ecological transition of intensive wine-growing areas. The action plans will define the future of viticulture and winery because they will serve as a basis for the development of a transnational strategy for agri - environmental transition at the level of the entire Adriatic - Ionian region.

Please confirm your participation in the workshop no later than 24.11.2021. to the e-mail address: v.antunicevic@bscbar.org or to the telephone number 069379258.
