How can you help a small business develop a more sustainable service that makes sense both for its customers and for its business?

As part of the GreenSET project, we are launching the Service Innovation Lab, a practical programme designed for institutions and consultants that provide support to entrepreneurs and want to improve the way they work with small and medium-sized enterprises.

This is not a traditional training programme. Selected participants will learn by working on a real business case, with expert support from BSC Bar.

Participants will use the MED Sustainable Service Innovation Methodology (MEDSSIM), a methodology developed within the GreenSET project specifically to support small and medium-sized enterprises in the tourism sector. Interest in this approach has also been confirmed through the first round of the GreenSET programme, with tourism businesses expressing interest in applying the MEDSSIM methodology.

What is MEDSSIM?

MEDSSIM (MED Sustainable Service Innovation Methodology) is a practical methodology designed to support the development of more sustainable and circular services applicable in tourism.

The MEDSSIM methodology brings together aspects that are often difficult to consider simultaneously: customer needs, business resources and capabilities, sustainability and circularity, and the business viability of a new service.

What does the GreenSET Service Innovation Lab involve?

In Montenegro, three participants will be selected to complete the programme and apply the MEDSSIM methodology while working with one small or medium-sized enterprise from the tourism sector.

After being introduced to the methodology, each participant will have the opportunity to apply it to a real business case, with professional and mentoring support from BSC Bar throughout the process.

The businesses will be selected through a separate open call. BSC Bar will match the selected businesses with the participants, taking into account their profiles, experience and potential for cooperation.

Participation in the programme is free of charge.
