We invite high school and university students to apply for online participation in the EUSAIR POPRI event in May 2021 and present their entrepreneurial ideas to decision makers and the general public.
EUSAIR POPRI is a Slovenian entrepreneurial competition for young people with a clear vision, great ideas and entrepreneurial spirit.
EUSAIR POPRI event is organized by the Coastal Technology Park in close cooperation with technology parks and incubators of EUSAIR countries (EU strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian region), namely Auleda Vlore, Agency for Local Economic Development (Albania), ICBL - Innovation Center Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Techpark Varaždin (Croatia), The Entrepreneurship Hub, American College of Thessaloniki (Greece), Friuli Innovazione - Parco Scientifico e Tecnologico Luigi Danieli (Italy), BSC Bar - Business start up center Bar (Montenegro), CKM - Knowledge Management Center (Northern Macedonia) and Business Incubator Novi Sad (Serbia).
Young people from 9 EUSAIR countries will take part in the EUSAIR competition and present their BEST ENTREPRENEURSHIP IDEAS. The event will be held with the EUSAIR Forum 2021, in May, with the support of the European Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, as well as the Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, Ministry of Economy Development and Technology, SPIRIT Slovenia - Public Agency for Entrepreneurship, Internationalization, foreign investment and technology, and many SMEs and startups.
Right to participate:
The event 'Young Entrepreneurs EUSAIR' aims to host up to 18 teams, divided into 2 categories:
1) high school students (14-18) and
2) university students (18 - 29 years).
Each EUSAIR country is represented by one team of high school students (led by a mentor / teacher) and one team of university students. There will be 2 teams per country, a total of 18 teams. Each team consists of a maximum of 5 team members, 2 of whom will make a short presentation.
The application will be open from April 15 to May 1, 2021.
The competition will be held on May 11 and 12, 2021 - virtually.
Day 1 - May 11, 2021: macro-regional competition of 2 categories of participants who present their entrepreneurial ideas in 5 minutes of presentation to the jury (+ 5 minutes for questions and answers). The announcement of the best business ideas will take place in the evening.
Day 2 - 12 May 2021: meeting and open discussion with an eminent person from the business field, together with the presentation of the ERASMUS program for young entrepreneurs; winners in both categories will be announced and the 2 best business ideas will be presented at the political panel of the EUSAIR Forum - the main event of the EUSAIR Presidency.
